Ruthie doesn't really care that it's last out.

Sometimes, she's worse and even when rolled OFF the dog bed, she continues to lay in the floor.

Silly girl.
She's taking retirement with the utmost seriousness.

More off-roading!

I likes goin' on dese advenchurs cause I get to sniff all da fings and sometimes I get to see da critters.  I'm gettin' better about NOT pullin' FoMa's arm when I see da squirrels.

Cock-eared!

Ears at attention!

FoDad and FoBro came wifs us.

Fanks for da water, FoMa.

We was tired puppies after 3 miles of walkin!

I'm really glad FoMa and FoDad takes us on walks.  Dey are my faborite.

FoMa and her clicky-clacky machine.

I don't understand why FoMa always is clickin' and clackin' on her lap machine, but as long as she feeds me and lets me keep playin wif da toys and keeps gibin me occasional pets, I'll let her do whatever she wants.

FoMa, is dat de GEGR forums?  You better be telling dem only gud fings about me!

Oh, I see, if I comes to dis side, I get da pettins.  Ok.

FoMa says:
When you adopt a pup from Greyt Expectations you get rights to the GEGR forum, which are a wealth of information and the perfect place to ask all those questions that come up after you bring your new dog home!  Even if its about poop.  We talk about poop a LOT!

Grunting Hedgehog

Let me show you my faborite toy!
It's da grunting hedgehog.

Da first time I played wifs it I wasn't sure what that noise was, and Foster Mom (FoMa) thought that was pretty funny.  You're lucky dat she's quick on da draw cause she said somefins about posting it to da YouTubes.  Maybe she'll help me show you that on my next post?

I've been in my foster home for over a week now and I'm one smart cookie!  After missing my old home (Birmingham, AL) for a day or so, my Foster Brother (FoBro) showed me dat I was retired now!  It's all about the luxuries of life dese days!  Doggie beds and all da squeaky toys shall be minnnneeeee!!!  Oh, I mean, I lub dos fings.

I've learned so much dis past week!  I'm on a business schedule already, I sleep frough da nights in FoMa/FoDad's room on a doggie bed, I eat like a champ (cause I was one!), I'm gentle when gettin' treats and I like to take them to a different place to eat dems, and I can even do da stairs now (although at first, dis was my most hated fing, den FoBro showed me it isn't so bad cause it means now I can follow FoMa and FoDad ALL.THE.TIME)!

Off-roading!

FoMa and FoDad had a long weekend, which meant that dey were bof off works and stayed at home wifs us extra time! FoMa thought it would be awesome to go on a walks at one of the local state parks. The entire park is 7.5 miles, but FoMa and FoDad agreed to go just to the first mile marker and then we could turn around and go home.

It was hard work! Dere was roots and horse poops and hills! I was one tired puppy!

The only part I did NOT like was when we met some other doggies on da trail. FoBro and I were on our bestest behaviors, but da ober doggies wasn't on leashes even though dat is a park rule! I was NOT impressed by dese people and dere doggies. Dere was one ob da dogs who barked at us and had to be restrained by her owner, which made FoMa question why at least dat pup wasn't on a leash. She said dat Greyhound owners are given all this good information when dey adopt a greyhound so dey can be smart dog owners. She said she wished everyone would just follow da rules!

Crossin da bridge at the .25 mile marker.

We was waitin on FoBro and Fo Dad to catch up.
FoMa lubs mah ears.

FoMa stopped at da water and let us cool off a bits.

After we gots home, FoDad gibs us a bafs, which wasn't soooo bad, but I'd prefer if we don't has to do dat again, honestly. Da bafs did help FoBro and I cool down much faster so we weren't panting for a long time, so dat was gud. Finally, FoMa fed us dinner and den FoBro and I didn't move for da rest ob da night! Even when it was time for last out, we wasn't ready for movin.

This retirement thing doesn't seem so bad!
